Kathrine has lived in Denmark for 50 years. She was sent from Greenland to Denmark at the age of 7 and was raised in a danish foster family. She trained as a schoolteacher, got married and became the mother of two children. She got a villa and a sailing boat. But the foundation of Kathrine's life began to erode - she got divorced and started drinking. She stopped working and became homeless, living on benches, toilets and shelters. We meet Kathrine in her new flat on the 12th floor south of Copenhagen. She lives a life alternating between chaos and order. A daily life which few people have experienced and fewer wish for. But Kathrine has chosen the life she lives. A close and clear-cut portrait of a fine and dignified human being.
