Spotlights Agnes DeMille and the Joffrey Ballet in Ms. DeMille’s history of the dance. The first half of the program traces the evolution of country dances into the ballet and of African dances to ragtime. The second half covers ballroom dancing, Isadora Duncan’s “three Graces”, the Charleston, and jitterbug.
