Children of the Tundra

A little village, 2,000 km apart from the Artic Pole: Ust Awan, on the peninsula Taymar. The Soviet Union tried to create a new socialistic human being out there, settled the nomads of the Tundra by pressure. This experiment failed completely and ended up with consequences like loss of identity, aggressiveness or alcoholism. One Russian teacher, who believes solidly in the good of human beings, tries to evoke in his student´s minds an attachment of lyric poetry. He succeeded: the children started to get rid of their mental agony by writing poems. So the teacher managed to light up a glimmer of hope in the children of the Tundra.
