In a region where sex is still a taboo subject, a straightforward, live documentary such as this is certainly not conventional, and it raises some issues: Is it the right choice for a director to come out and reveal her sexual identity? And is it OK, when you are handling sensitive areas like homosexuality, to use peeping Tom techniques in order to reveal the hidden truth?
