An autobiographical tour-de resume of the 65 or so jobs that star Claudia Shear has held, 'Blown Sideways Through Life' is a sly and poignant investigation of one woman´s search for an identity deeper and more human than any job description. Raised by her mother, Claudia wanted to be an actress, but acting jobs were scarce, so she made money in any job she could get. She has worked at the cosmetics counter at Bloomingdale´s and been the receptionist at a whorehouse. With job number 65, 'Blown Sideways Through Life,' Ms. Shear reminds us all that 'nobody is just a typist, just a dishwasher, just a cook, just a porter, just a prostitute.'
