Bless their little hearts

Charlie Blanks is a black factory worker who has been ejected from the secure self-assured world of a steady job into the spiritual test of long-term unemployment. Without an economic role, its not clear to him what role he has to play in his family. In the face of repeated rejection from big firms, Charlie seeks out casual labour, taking jobs no matter how menial. His wife, Andais, is heading towards an emotional explosion as the bitter reality that she is the head of the family sinks in.
