Black business

The Operational Command Unit was a special group of law enforcement personnel put in place by the President of the Republic of Cameroon, created to tackle rampant banditry in the region of Douala. In the year 2000 alone it was responsible for the disapperance of more than 1,000 people. A few years later, Osvalde Lewat personalises the question posed in the quote above. She is preoccupied by these events that she ignored at the time they took place, and concerned about the families of the victims who are still battling to find out what happened to their children, husbands, brothers. Mr. Momo, a character in the if who defends the victims with determination and courage, declares: “As long as it’s black business, an issue f niggers, people don’t care…” Thefilm strives to make this injustice a human ssue.
