For the first time ever on prime time television, women’s bodies are shown in all of their naked beauty, flaws and blemishes, as the subject of a new talk show named Blachman. In each episode the famously provocative Danish entertainer and host Thomas Blachman invites another famous man to be his guest on the show. An ordinary woman - young, old, thin, fat, tall, short, black or white - strips silently in front of them in a black room only with a sofa. And then Thomas and his guest study the naked female body together. With nothing but her naked form to engage them in the empty room, the two men begin a discussion: they wonder and reflect on the female body. Their feelings about the woman and her body lead to thoughts on their own lives, male sexuality and the roles played by men and women in modern society. Debate over the merits of the show has raged as far away as the UK, the US and Australia.
