The responses, produced from letters and phone calls gathered from around the country from producers, stations and Back Talk mail directly, used the presenter actually on camera presenting a position or used a combination of techniques to effectively communicate the viewers position. The producer’s function was to work directly with the presenter to create together the most effective response, on that accurately and effectively communicated the presenter’s point of vie while using production values and formats that attracted and held the attention to the viewers.
