The programme explores the impact of US television on the culture of the Caribbean. Visiting St. Lucia, Cuba and Miami two presenters look at Efforts of Caribbean people to achieve some measure of independence and control over their future. The programme was shown in a series of six programmes from different parts of the South world which each dealt with aspects of the environment in the run up to the Brazil World Environment Conference in 1992.
