PARTICULAR CHARACTERISTICS OF PROGRAM: This program is an anthology for woks for television, created by video maker, Peter Campus. Its principle objective is to present material, traditionally confined to viewing in galleries and museums, in a style and format designed for the PBS broadcast audience. Hosted by Russell Connor, it includes observations on the artist’s intent and efforts by Barbara London of the Museum of Modern Art, Joyce Nereaux of Leo Castelli Galleries and Brian O’Doherty of the National Endowment for the Arts. Six video works appear, in their entirety, bracketed by brief comments and explanations from Fred Barzyk and Olivia Tappan of the Workshop producing staff, about their experience of participating in this particular genre of creative endeavour.
