1) Philadelphia Squatters – the story of a massive squatters movement in Philadelphia, PA. 2) Cold Winter – a portrait of a typical small rancher. 3) Life in the street – follows some of New York homeless and social workers who try to help them. 4) Gold Miners on Strike – focuses on the health problems facing gold miners in S. Dakota. 5) Battle of Hobokem – shows the hardships tenants are facing in the newly gentrified areas of American cities. These segments are valuable to INPUT because they offer international people a rare glimpses of life in the United States. Jon Alpert has won 4 national Emmys and 2 Columbia-Dupont awards for this work.
