Aids: changing the rules is an informative program about today’s most dreaded disease. This beautifully produced film, featuring actor Ron Reagan Jr., model Beverly Johnson and singer Ruben Blades, lays out the scope of the problem with sensitivity, candor, and where, appropriate, humor. It also suggests steps individuals can take to minimaze the risk of contacting AIDS. Included in the film is a great deal of clear and useful information on a variety of topics, from blood tests to changing lifestyles and the ways people can confortably and honestly talk to each other about sexuality and AIDS. This film, accompanied by a follow-up discussion, was shown on PBS stations around the United States on November 6, 1987. The program was considered by PBS stations to be one of the most important of fall season.
