Religion and churches in Soviet Union survived seventy years of hostility and atheistic propaganda. That is one of the data that has come to the surface in theses last years of “glasnost” and “perestroika”. “After de silence” wants to answer two questions: what did it mean to be a believer in the years that preceded the turn Gorbachev imposed to the Soviet society, and how are people living today the experience of faith and the return to public freedom of conscience.
