Twenty men, women and children from the 21st century experience the greatest adventure of their lives when they travel through a time tunnel and end up on a Prussian estate at the begining of the last century. They discover a world where class roles are very clearly defined -- an where castes do not mix. Whether you were an aristocrat, peasant, maid or lady of the estate was clear from the moment you were born. None of the protagonists are actors -- a family curious about rural life and class distinctions from 100 years ago was sought out. The participants had to be willing to live as maids or stable boys for two whole months. What was it like on the other side -- to be lord and master 24 hours a day under very strict rules of behaviour? What about being a servant at the beck and call of the lord or lady of the manor day and night? What did rutal life look like in Germany in 1900?
