Abducted children

Bibi is 13 years old. Ten years ago her father abducted her from Denmark. Today she is living in a tribal area in the northern part of Pakistan. Jacob is 8 years old. He has also been abducted. His father has taken him from Denmark to Tunisia. Jacob and Bibi are among 27 boys and girls on a list of abducted children, made by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The children have all been taken away from Denmark by their foreign fathers. In most cases the abduction is the dramatic result of a divorce between a Danish woman and her Muslim husband. In Denmark the mother often gets custody of the children after divorce. In Muslim states the father usually gets custody. The program follows Bibi’s mother on a journey to Pakistan where she is trying to find her daughter and take her home. Also Jacob’s mother is trying to get her child back. Her plan is to kidnap him in Tunisia and smuggle him home.
