A lady named Baybie

A cinema verite documentary about a blind woman living what appears to be a marginal existence as a street singer in New York. Viewed by decent passers -by as flotsum to be avoided or ignored, Baybie reveals the sad and often bitter details of her survival to a camera she cannot see with a grace and humor that transcends the physical and environmental limitations of her life.
