A one-hour television drama of high satire based on the short story by Ring Lardner. Israel Horovits wrote this screenplay depicting a day filled with personal and professional difficulties faced by a successful Broadway producer, Conrad Green, of the mid-nineteen twenties. The audience soon discovers that Green creates his own difficulties through insensitivity to others, lack of appreciation for those around him and a constant stream of little lies that mount up and overwhelm him. Fred Gwyne stars with other major roles played by Katharine Balfour and David Garrison.
