A Marriage

A Marriage – One of six 30 minutes films about the lives of extraordinary women from history. This film recounted the life of Anne Lister, a lesbian living in Halifax in the 19th Century. The script was based on her secret coded diary. A Skirt Through History was a bold and innovative series with scripts based on diaries, letters and other contemporary accounts by the women. Scenes were shots as drama but in a documentary camera style. All exteriors scenes featured actors in costume but were shot in contemporary settings.
