Where Pedo-criminals Hide on the Internet?

YaDebat is a digital series dedicated to young people under 25. Twice a month, Melissa offers digital content on a variety of societal topics. In this episode, Melissa and the team investigated the problem of pedo-criminality on the Internet. Following calls from whistle-blowers, they investigated different websites and found one website for teenagers and discovered what goes on behind the scenes. This website, which clearly offers dating services for people aged between 13 and 25, is full of child predators who make contact with minors, some of them very young. During this episode, they were able to carry out a clear, timed test to check the vulnerability of these very young users. Following this report, they also met ‘Ace’, a young man who has chosen to track down pedo-criminals online, and spoke to a police inspector to understand how the police operate and fight on the Internet. Where do pedo-criminals hide on the Internet? How do these predators do it? And how do the police intercept them?
