The “Direct Cinema Workshop” is a multiracial production center in Johannesburg, the very heart o f Apartheid. It has been organized by VARAN, a cultural association coordinated by A. Van In. This workshop has helped many filmmakers from different South African ethnic communities to film and talk about their country in a nine part series. These episodes deal with various subjects and different point of views. They emphasize the absurdity of Apartheid. Each episode is approached in a different way with a personal point of view.
