Japan - A man's world

1) SUMMARY: 93% of Japanese aged 25 to 35 are married. However , these young couple often reemble divorced people.The husbandworks, lunchehas dinner and gets drunk with his colleagues and his superiors, gives his libido summary atisfaction in the 'fast sex' shops, and goes back home only to watch television or sleep. The wife concerns herself with bringing up the children. She spends her free time with woman friends or even with 'call boys' if she can afford it. The couple are together only at weddings and funerals.2) INTEREST: This film was made thanks to a Japanese woman journalist´s personal contacts and her knowledge of her country´s ways, and it is aa very truthful document. The realism is hard to take, especially in the second half. The participants agreed to appear and 'confess' only on the express condition that the film not be broadcast in Japan.
