Islam Rising: Which way next for Iran?

This is the last episode of (the 5-part series titled) 'Islam Rising', and in-depth look athe Islamic world. Today, two decades after its revolution, Iran faces further upheaval. The Hatami administration's conciliatory stance toward the West is confronting this hitherto diplomatically-isolated country with an unfamiliar choice: Dialogue or discord with the international community. NHK obtained special permission to film in the city of Qom, 150 kilometers south of Tehran. There, the cameras shot inside the hugely influencial Faizieh Divinity School. By jouneying into the Iranian heartland, this episode is able to offer a fascinating insight into grassroots opinion in contemporary Iran.
