It is not an easy task to be the parent of a teenager - especially not the first one in the family. Mum and Dad are put in a new situation when their first-born child turns into a seducing fury or a cigarette-smoking, loose-limbed young man. In six programmes, TV 2 followed life in the families of Jacob, Jeppe, Malene and Mette - four confused, insecure, bad-tempered, yet very sweet teenagers - all of them trying to find their feet in life. An ad was put in the paper, searching for families with a teenager in the house. 100 families responded and 40 families were further researched. Of the 40 families, 12 were tested on tape and finally the four families were picked. The two journalist-photographers shot the film on small DV cameras while living with the families in their houses for several days. So the relationship between the journalist and the families became more intimate and relaxed, and that shows in the programmes.
