Haiti, tormented by civil war and political instability, is one of the world´s poorest countries. This programme carefully observes 13-year-old twin orphans, Eric and Ericcson, who live in the streets. The children rummage through rubbish dumps for scraps of food, beg American soldiers for food and money, and earn meagre tips by cleaning cars in the streets. AT the same time, they have surprisingly clear ideas about the Haitian situation and their own predicament. Says Eric 'Democracy means sharing everything with others.' These children are full of courage in spite of all the odds against them.
