Elbowing

This short film is perhaps an illustration of the struggle for life. However this may be, the acting-out of the phenomenon is most amusing, and the struggle itself, while generally very ddiscreet, is none the less a feirce one. A group of people in serried ranks use their elbows to reach the top o what may be the social ladder, each dig being passed on with accrued force, right up to the “first” who occupied the most envied position. The “first” however, is unable to resist the final shock and is somehow neutralized. Eliminated! And so on! IN this humorous little ballet there is one person more astute than the others. His non-conformist attitude upsets somewhat the naturel order things. But this shirker too manages to get to one end of the line, at the same time as he avoids the digs from other’s elbows; and the game stats over agian from the other end.
