“TVTV: The Television Revolution” is a three-hour mini-series in which executive producer Moses Znaimer and a number of television foremost practitioners, commentators and critics describe and illustrate the nature, the reach and the impact of the most influential medium of communication ever devised. Most criticism of television has come from people dedicated to print for whom TV is the natural enemy. Some has come from people alarmed by the pace of change that seems to be fueled by television, while still others are alarmed by the amount of time TV occupies in the lives of people, young and old. “TVTV” takes the position that the TV revolution has happened and although it is far from complete, it is time to examine what it is, who runs it, what it has done and where it is headed. “TVTV” aims to entertain and to change the questions people ask about TV, and to help us respond to the new world television is forcing us to create. “There is neither decline nor disaster in the triumph of the mass media – only a shift from word to image. In other words, a return to pagan materialism.” (Camille Paglia) “You don´t stand back and watch television. You´re in it.” (Marshall McLuhan)
