Four of Chicago´s premiere choreographers share their unique interpretations of love. The four acts, or dances, were created, choreographed, and produced specially for television. Each choreographer was paired with a WTTW director and used the tools of the television medium –unusual camera angles, digital effects, and special editing techniques – unique visual experiences specifically designed for the TV audiences. “Urban Transfer” is the first of the four dances. Choreographer Randy Duncan, former artistic director for Joseph Holmes Dance Theatre, addresses “love in the big city” and sexual identity. At bus stop under Chicago´s elevated train tracks, dancers Ariane Dolan, Arturo Alvarez, and Rodni Willians form a love triangle in the midst of the scenes and sounds of an urban street with music written and performed by Tommy Mother.
